When Russll was 11 years old, he sang a song called, "His Eye is on the Sparrow."  youtu.be/-M_rP3h-a4c  The song is about God's concern for even the smallest and least significant of His creatures, the sparrow. The sparrow is not pretty, it is plain, it is not meaningful, it is one of many, it is not important, it is needed. Russell recognized that all of us are sparrows and need to know that we are pretty, have meaning to someone, are important to ourselves and others, and are needed and need to be loved.
